Check out some of the best items I purchased online in 2023. Most of these are not expensive, and have proven to be very useful items either on the bike or in the garage.

The best online motorcycle gear purchases of 2023 includes useful items that are not specific to any bike. These are all items that I have personally purchased, used and would recommend.

Tusk Fender Tube Pack

  • Trying to patch a flat tire out on the trail can be a real pain. It can be a lot easier to carry a spare inner tube and just swap the tube out if you get a flat. I always carry an extra front tube with me. But where do you carry the tube? Tubes can be just bulky enough that they may not fit in your backpack, vest or tail bag. This handy pouch from Tusk securely straps right on your front fender so your extra tube is always ready should you need it.

Waterproof Motorcycle Tool Tubes

  • These tubes are a cheap and easy solution to carry a few extra tools on your bike. I have mounted them with hose clamps and bolts. I like to carry a socket wrench, sockets, tire pressure gauge, razor blade, zip ties and wire in mine. I have mounted these on crash bars at the base of my radiator or under pannier racks.

Tire Change Stand

  • Changing your tires can be a chore. Just breaking the bead can be a challenge at times. An inexpensive tire change stand can make the job a lot easier. It securely holds the wheel in place and makes breaking the bead a snap.

Nitrile Gloves

  • These are a must for any garage. Keep you hands clean and chemical-free when you are working with gas, oil, grease, brake fluid, sprays or other hazardous substances. I always keep an extra box of these in the garage.

Tail Bag

  • When I’m not traveling, I take the soft luggage off my bike. Tank bags can get in the way if you are filling your gas or standing on your pegs while you ride. Tail bags stay out of the way and provide a great place to stash tools, cap, raingear, sunglasses or anything else you want to carry on a ride. This one is also very easy to install and remove as needed.

Rhino Tie Down Straps

  • These straps are super strong and have an integrated loop on them, which makes them great for strapping down motorcycles. They are consistently highly rated by users and work great.

Grip Puppies

  • These are a great addition to almost any motorcycle. I have installed these on several adventure bikes. They are comfortable and they help keep your hands from falling asleep due to vibration. They simply slip over existing grips to increase the size and comfort. They even work over heated grips. They come in 2 sizes, so be sure to get the right size for your grips.

Sliding Sag Scale

  • Sag is one of the most important adjustments you can make, especially on your dirt bike. It helps dial in your suspension and makes sure you have the correct preload. Correct sag can dramatically improve suspension performance. This tool makes it super easy and eliminates the need for math.

Adjustable Lift Stand

  • This stand by Tusk is fantastic. I use it all the time. Just adjust it to the correct height for your bike, slide it under and step on the lever to raise the bike enough for most basic maintenance tasks. No heavy lifting. Keep in mind that this is designed for bikes under 300 pounds.

Fork Saver

  • Here is an inexpensive purchase to prevent suspension damage while transporting your motorcycle. It also keeps the motorcycle riding securely so it doesn’t bounce out of its straps.

Universal Aluminum Tire Irons With Built-In Axle Nut Wrench

  • These are super lightweight and easy to carry when out on the trail. Double check the size of your axle nuts to be sure you order the right one. The universal feature gives you the possibility of using this for multiple bikes in your garage or helping your buddy out when he gets a flat. Pro Tip: I always carry a small third tire iron to help break the bead out on the trail.
