As usual, I’ve been a huge slacker this year when it comes to ride updates. 2025 was a good year for local riding in Leadville. Lots of great afternoons on the dirt bike. Here are some of the other highlights from the year…
February…while the weather in Leadville was not ideal for riding, we loaded up the bikes and headed on a short trip through Nevada, Arizona and California. Riding the desert in all of these places was great! There are a ton of great trails right outside of Las Vegas. Boulder City was a fun stop. Oatman, Arizona may have a higher burro than human population! Panamint Springs had some great riding and hot springs too! Death Valley sounds like a wasteland, but there is a lot of good riding around there.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride in May was a good time in Salida. Great group of people and a great cause!

In June, as the weather started getting nice in Leadville, I decided to see if my KTM 350 liked to swim. It did not. I lost a few weeks tearing it apart and replacing the bent connecting rod…

In July, the bikes were all healthy and we had a great weekend of riding Weston Pass, Aspen Ridge Road, Marshall Pass and Hagerman Pass.

Top ‘O The Rockies Rally is always a good time in July

In September, a quick ride over Stunner Pass and down to Platoro was a nice getaway.

In October, we got a little bit of snow above Leadville…

And that’s it for 2025. Check back in for 2026 updates including a ride in Tanzania Africa! See you soon!
